Sleep, wakeboard, family and friends...hope all is going well...

So...I realized at some point that the god of the Trevi Fountain is Neptune...not Zeus. Of course...Neptune is the ruler of the sea...the brother of the Zeus. I hate to be wrong! :-)

Did you know that King Xerxes of Persia once commanded his soldiers to whip the waters of the Hellespont in order to punish Neptune (then Poseidon) directly for wrecking his army's bridge of boats into Greece? Gutsy guy...that Xerxes... :-)

Make sure you give your family big hugs...especially the little one...and maybe the fat cat :-)

From the pictures...I feel like I can breathe the ancient and modern Rome. I especially like the photos of the Polizei and the Trevi Fountain. The Police are dressed so sharply and there is something powerful in the way that Zeus is made to take command over of the waters with Virgo looking over his shoulder...

The pictures take my thoughts back a bit to the ancient empire...and something about the past always seems to be a bit more majestic than the present...and I'm not sure why...
